What is bimodal hearing?
A bimodal hearing solution is the combination of a cochlear implant on one side and a hearing aid on the contralateral side. Both systems simultaneously stimulate both auditory pathways.

The companies Cochlear and ReSound together have a bimodal solution that can be used with compatible smartphone devices to stream audio.

The partnership between both manufacturers give an access to several connectivity options.
Simultaneous streaming to both earsMusic or other audio may be streamed from a compatible Apple or Android device device to a compatible sound processor and hearing aid without the need for an intermediary device*. |
Settings controlWith this bimodal solution it's possible to use a compatible Apple device to directly control the settings of a sound processor and hearing aid *. |
RequirementsIn order to use the bimodal hearing solution, the following are required:

Compatibility with True Wireless™ devicesWearing a compatible Nucleus sound processor and a Resound* hearing aid allows direct and simultaneous streaming of sound to both ears from Cochlear True Wireless devices. |
