Audio streaming from a compatible device*
The Cochlear Nucleus®8 and Kanso® 2 Sound Processors includes technology to stream sounds (music, calls, videos, etc.) directly from a compatible device* without needing any additional accessory or device.
Control settings with the Nucleus Smart App
The Nucleus® Smart app provides the ability to directly adjust the settings of the Nucleus 8 and Kanso 2 processors and ensure their operation from a compatible Apple or Android ™ device * or an Apple Watch^.
With the Nucleus Smart App, it is possible to:

Access personalised hearing information with the Hearing Tracker.

Quickly change programs or volume and check battery life without carrying a separate Remote Control.

Find a lost processor using the "Find my processor" feature.

Start wireless streaming to Cochlear True Wireless™ devices.

Adjust master bass, volume and treble.

Set up notifications to alert if the coil is off.

The Nucleus Smart App can be downloaded for free via the Apple App Store or the Google Play store.
How Find My Processor and Hearing Tracker work
The Nucleus® Smart App may be used to locate a Nucleus® 8 or Kanso 2 Sound Processors by using GPS to define the last location of the sound processor using a compatible smartphone.
The Hearing Tracker may be used for information about when the coil is off and the time in speech.
An audiologist might be able to use Hearing Tracker information for troubleshooting or adjustments.
Remote support, wherever you are
Cochlear's technology gives you the ability to update your processor and check your hearing performance from the comfort of your home, without having to go to the fitting center.
Remote Firmware Updates
The firmware for the Nucleus 8 and Kanso 2 processors can be updated remotely via the Nucleus Smart application. These updates keep the processors running at peak performance and ensure compatibility with the latest smartphones.
Remote Check
Remote Check allows you to perform a hearing assessment at home using the Nucleus Smart application on a compatible smartphone*, without having to come to your center. Remote Check is not available in all countries and must be activated by the clinician before it can be accessed in the app.
