The Aqua + is a protective sheath that makes the Nucleus® processor waterproof.*
What is Aqua+?
The Cochlear Nucleus 7 and Kanso 2 processors are rated for water and dust resistance. However, in some situations it may be recommended to use Aqua + for Nucleus (a waterproof and reusable protective solicone sleeve that slips over the device) in order to get a better waterproofness (IP68).*

- Can be used to make a sound processor water-resistant (IP68).*
- Can be submerged 3 meters under water up to 2 hours.*
- The housing encases and protects the sound processor.*
- A water-resistant coil connects the Nucleus 7 within the sleeve.**
- The silicone sleeve is reusable and may be used up to 50 times.
- Wireless assistants work with Nucleus Aqua+.
- Can be used in fresh, salted and chlorinated water.
- Is equipped with a safety cord.

* The Cochlear Nucleus 8 Sound Processor is dust and water resistant to level IP68 of the International Standard IEC60529. The Nucleus 8 Sound Processor was tested to a depth of up to 1 metre for up to 1 hour. Refer to the relevant user guide for more information.
** Some models of Aqua+ accessories require the ear hook to be removed before inserting the sound processor into the accessory. Please consult the instructions for use for more information.
