The home screen contains the most frequently used features of the Baha Smart App. Here you can change programs, adjust volume and check your sound processor status, as well as navigate to additional features of the app.

Adjusting volume
  • To adjust the sound processor volume, use the volume slider or tap the speaker icon to mute. If you have a bilateral configuration, tap the horizontal slider icon to expand and gain access to the individual volume sliders.
  • To adjust the volume of your wireless accessories, use the volume slider, or tap the corresponding icon to mute. If you have a bilateral configuration, tap the horizontal slider icon to expand and gain access to the individual volume sliders.
Changing program

Adjust the sound – Login required

The Baha Smart App allows you to fine tune your hearing experience with temporary adjustments, or to save the adjustments as Favourites (see below). When the sound processor is restarted, it will return to the default program settings and any adjustments must be reapplied.

  1. Tap the Equaliser icon in the bottom tab menu on the Home screen to adjust the sound.
  2. Move the bass, mid and treble sliders up or down to optimize the sound to the environment you are in, or select one of the Presets.
  3. Tap the back arrow in the top loft corner to return to the Home screen.
Select presets

The Baha Smart App has several presets, which are a combination of equaliser and noise reduction settings that we believe are suitable to achieve certain outcomes in certain situations, for certain programs:

  • Speech in noise - to enhance speech in noisy environments
  • Outdoor - to enhance speech in outdoor environments
  • Increase comfort (Everyday program) - to offer more comfortable listening
  • Increase comfort (Outdoor program) - to reduce wind noise for more comfort
  • Own voice - to enhance the experience of your own voice
  • Detailed sound - to offer a more detailed sound
  • Fuller sound - to offer a fuller sound
  • Enhance speech - to enhance speech
Create Favourites

Favourites offer you the ability to store your adjustments for easy access later, directly from the app’s home screen.

  1. Instead of returning to Home screen after adjusting the sound, tap the Next button.
  2. Choose an icon for your new Favourite and tap Next.

To edit or delete a Favourite, select it in the program list and the tap the Equaliser icon in the bottom bar. To delete a Favourite, tap the trashcan icon and confirm deletion. If you instead wish to edit your Favourite, make any desired changes to the equaliser and then proceed by clicking Save.

Note: Favourites will be removed if the program they have been based on has been changed or removed during a fitting.

Locate a lost or misplaced sound processor – Login required

You can use the app to help you locate a lost or misplaced sound processor. As long as your smartphone is connected to your lost sound processor, the app will display if you are moving towards the sound processor, or away from it, using the Bluetooth® signal strength. If you have granted the app location permission, the app will pin the location where your smartphone lost connection to your sound processor.

View sound processor status

To see the status of the connected sound processor, including current program, volume level etc., tap the Information icon in the tab menu. This can be very useful if you are a parent to, or carer of a Baha recipient.

View sound processor usage

To view your sound processor usage, select Hearing Tracker in the app’s settings menu.

Support

In-app support

There is contextual support available on certain screens. Access it by tapping the question mark icon in the top right corner of the app.

Connection support

If the connection is lost and the app is unable to reconnect to the sound processor after following the on-screen instructions, try to completely close the app and unpair your sound processor from your compatible smartphone. Sometimes, it could even be worth restarting your smartphone. Then repeat the pairing sequence and restart the app.
