When Shruti was a year old, her parents realised she was not responding to the sounds of fire crackers. Upon consulting ENT doctors, they were shattered to know she had profound hearing loss.
After using hearing aids for almost 9 years, Shruti received a CochlearTM implant at the age of 10. There has been no looking back since then.
Today, she speaks English and Hindi fluently and is confidently a part of conversations around her.
When Shruti looks back, she cannot imagine how she had been missing out on so many little joys of life.
